My tonsils are swollen and have white on them - they hurt very bad.. What can I do for the pain?

Question:
It hurts very bad when I try to swallow water or soup or anything.. It feels as if there is mucus stuck on them or something.. There are white spots on them and they're inflamed.

I have salt water but I'm not sure if that will even help at this point. What can I do for temporary pain relief until I am able to get chloraseptic fluid to spray on them?

Answers:
Sounds like you have strep. Infection at the least. You certainly can gargle with warm salt water, but you need to be seen by a dr for some antibiotics.
Sounds like you have Strep throat. You should see a doctor asap and start taking anti-biotics.
Sound like you have strep throat. Go to the Dr., they will swab your throat and let you know in about 20min. You'll have to take an antibiotic.
the salt water will help a little but it sounds as if you have strep & if that is the case you will need an antibiotic from the Dr. good luck strep sucks so bad
