Lump above knee?

Question:

ive got a small lump thing above my knee, its about 5cm up from my knee. and there is slight brusing around it, it isnt visable through the skin but i can feel it . and it hurts when i touch it.

any ideas what it is??

I think I've heard about this before... I'm not a doctor I have a chiropractor. I think it's something like you have a "second knee" and you're putting so much pressure on your leg that it causes some sort of muscle or something in the bone to swell. I can't remember what it's called... Hope that helps...

It's probably a small lump just above your knee. If it hurts don't touch it.

Could be anything from a cyst, to an inflammed bursa or a haematoma.

Whatever it is, if it persisits for more than a few days, see your doctor
