I think that going back to school will help you get back on schedule.
Also, try wearing an eyemask and earplugs when you go to bed. It works for me, I never want to wake up!
Who says your sleep is screwed up? Maybe you are only needing this much?
You are one of the lucky ones. Your body naturally works in the times that are widely seen by western society as "work hours".
When you're out of school, you will see how convenient your body clock is as opposed to a body clock like mine - I naturally fall asleep at around 2 am and wake at around 10:00 to 11:00..Rock and roll hours but not widely accepted by "regular" people.
Do you feel tired? It seems like your saying you don't, yet you sound stressed and bothered by this pattern. I would be glad that you can operate on little sleep, some people can, some people can do fine on as little as 4 hours sleep. If you are feeling tired and can't concentrate maybe look at your diet, remove cafeine sugar and anything with colours and preservatives in, its a hard task but it could be the cure for what your going through. But you could just be lucky in that you don't need so much sleep!
Sounds like it could be stress?! are you stressed?
Before you go to bed try drinking a warm milky drink? coco or ovaltine? and try and cut down on any caffeen intake, ie if you drink Redbull or Full fat Coke or coffee cut it down? and maybe go for long walks or jogs to wear you out a bit? Exercise can help you have a good nights sleep?
Apart from that i'm not sure, certainly wouldnt recommend sleeping tabs? can do more arm than good sometimes!
Perhaps you're worrying about something, that would affect your sleep routine, when this happens me, I try to remember all the people i've known who have died, and pray for them, I soon fall asleep again. God bless!!
Having endured similar problems this is probably not the right answer for many other people but I sup 2 pints of cider and a double/treble scotch each night an hour before I wish to sleep and usually last from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
No hangover (thankfully) but somewhat loose bowels - on occasions. As I say, for me, it is better than the problem (and pleasurable in taking the medicine!) but not for everyone and not for every situation
Good luck!
Your choice.
PS if you have ever had problems with alcohol don't start over again.
If you keep goin all day and don't feel tired then you probably don't need anymore sleep. Not eveyone needs 8 or 9 hours sleep a night really. At least your body keeps a regular routine which is the main thing.
have you tried chamomile tea, it is very calming before bed, do you dream a lot? or have a lot on you mind, this can hinder sleep, hope it helps.
You perhaps need to look at your dietary habits... Im by no means an expert on this..But eating after 7 o'clock is really not very good for promoting sleep as you're putting your body through the excess of digestion when you should be resting...So if you drink tea, coffee, have sugary snacks etc late into the night, perhaps rethink this..
But really, what happens is that we get used to doing something... My boyf and I have to get up at 5.30 am for work...Come that weekend we're always so excited to have a lay in..!! But come 6 am Saturday morning.. We're wide awake.. Our bodie's are just are set that way.. the only way we're ever going to get to sleep longer would be to do diiferent jobs!! I think that you've got into a rut and until you change it, you're going to stay there..
Try setting a time you want to be in bed...Say 11pm... Have a milky warm drink about half an hour before,, and a bath too, those both promote relxation... Make sure you dont have a tv in your bedroom...If you get used to having your bedroom as a tv room, your brain wont adapt and recognise the bedroom is for sleep... Go to bed making it as comfortable, airy and dark as possible. And clear your mind... If you find you arent drifting off dont just lay there... Get up, go downstairs and read... Tv will awaken your brain too much..Reading is better at this time... Then once you start to feel tired again go back to bed... You'll sleep a lot longer, hopefully til 7.30 - 8... It's going to be tough at first, but you'll get there...I know because I've done this...and I'm like I said, in bed at 9.30 and up at 5.30 daily...
Good luck...Happy sleeping!!

Going to sleep at 10:30 is not a problem and most people will wake up several times during the night whether they realise it or not. The problem seems to be you are waking up at 3:00am and not getting back to sleep afterwards. I assume that this is something new and one thing is absolutely certain, the more you worry about it the less likely you are to be able to get back to sleep. If you wake up don't just lie there worrying, try and make yourself comfortable, make the bed or open a window and then lie back down a relax. A typical relaxation technique would be to imagine your body getting heavier and heavier and sinking into the mattress.
Drink a few glasses of wine-always helps me.
