Everything that other people suggested are good ideas. Whatever you do, do not use fresh water on it. Fresh water only causes more toxins to be released and more pain. Saltwater, urine, vinegar will all help.

Vodka is the best cure. Must be applied and softly brushed over the sting area. They look like whelps with redness and stinging or sometimes itching.
I was stung by a Portuguese man of war a few years ago. There was a red line that was kind of swollen where it stung me with its tentacles and felt like a bee sting, but worse. Rub vinegar on the sting to help relieve the pain.
