cover windows w/ a black fleece blanket and take a tylnol pm
There is more commotion and more light during the day.
Plus your body has been trained for MANY MANY years to sleep at night. It's hard to break that pattern.
Hmm...I tend to find it easier to sleep durin' the day. So, I don't know. lol
Because your body is not used to it. Are you getting enough sleep during the night? If you are, it's hard to. I wouldn't force it, if your not tired, if your tired enough you'll drift off, maybe in front of the tv. 15 minutes is good amount of time, it's the equilivant of an hour of night sleep. Sleep too much longer and you feel groggy when you wake.
probably because your body isn't used to sleeping during the day.
my ex husband worked 3rd shift so i understand the problem. he complained of too much sunlight in the room, street noise, and trying to rotate between being awake during the day on his days off and sleeping during the day when he worked. he was grumpy most of the time.
i suggest investing in some good drapes to block the sun and taking some kind of sleep aid. ask your doctor what would be best. at least until you form some kind of consistant sleep pattern.
I just lay there, and I fall asleep. If you are really sleepy, then it should work. It takes awhile, like 30 minutes, but it works.
