I need help choosing health insurance?
Question:
Does anybody have insurance they pay for monthly that they love and can explain the bills they get and how things are payed for and if a deductible has to be paid for in full before you can see a doctor or how does that work? Thanks alot- the plan we're looking into costs almost 300 a month for the two of us.
Answers:
$300/month for 2 is a bargain..check benefits closely
deductible is paid as you see dr...ie; $500.00 deductible means the first $500 of care comes out of your pocket before the insurance pays anything. You may have a co-pay after that. You may have an amount to pay $20, $30, etc at each office visit after you pay your deductible...or...your dr bill is say $200.00 (and you have already paid deductible on other visits) your insurance may pay a percentage, say 80% ($160) and you pay 20% ($40). each plan is a little different.
If you have trouble reading the policy ask you sales agent to explain
300 a month for two people is a nice plan..
If you are employed or if your husband is, best will be to get a plan through your employer as the group health insurance is cheaper than individual insurances.
To buy an insurance, you should check quotes freom multiple insurance companies..
