Question:
I am teaching myself and my finger tips hurt so bad! I am a violinist so I have tough skin already and I have short nails and that stuff dealt with already.
Answers:
Although your skin is tough from the violin, it's not tough in the same places, and the materials used to make the strings are different. Eventually your fingers will become calloused and the pain will go away - you'll just have to stick it out for now.
you just have to deal with it. stop playing for a while and come back
