If i go to the er for a broke rib (im assuming) but the bruise is a shape of a hand, will they call the cops?

Question:
PLEASE DON'T CRITICIZE. JUST ANSWER. PLEASE

Answers:
I think it depends on how old you are. If you're a "child" (probably 18 or younger), they may notify authorities. Hospitals have very strict confidentiality rules for adults though, but with kids they are required to notify authorities.
yes
they probably will but go to the hospital anyway.
I think you would get a few extra questions, but no cops.
umm, I don't think so, they might just asked what happened.

I went to the er for a broken foot and there was a foot print there they asked what happen and i said someone by mistake stepped on you foot.

if you don;t want people to think bad stuff say what happened then say when i fell or w/e you did that your hand was there.
Doctors and nurses are bound by law to report any suspected abuse to the police. So yes, they will unless they just don't notice.
depends on what you tell them they may if you do not speak up and if it was just an accident there is nothing the can do but if you tell them you have been abused well then they will definitely do something about it
Not much can be done for broken ribs. You can get a stretch bandage at a drug store but all a doctor can do is tell you your ribs are broken and it will take time to heal. Doctors and hospitals are required by law to report abuse if they suspect it or see it. If you were abused - report it.
All health care professionals are required by law to report any suspected abuse.
If you really think it's just a broken rib, there's not much point to going to the ER because there isn't any treatment for this except to bind it with something like an ace bandage to give support so it doesn't hurt. It will just heal on it's own.
If you have any trouble breathing, go to the ER or call 911 right away because a broken rib can sometimes puncture your lung. If you have any other troubling signs, such as: excruciating pain, a very hard/stiff abdomen, dizziness, sweating, shaking...these could be signs of internal bleeding or shock...call 911 immediately.
I don't know how badly you were hit, and these things are not that likely unless the blow was severe, but you need to know what to watch for.
I would also like to say to you, please get help. I'm not judging, I know nothing about your situation. It makes me very sad to think someone hit you today, and you obviously don't feel you can get away. Best wishes to you.
i think there is a good chance they would
i've went in with a migrane before and even then they asked me questions like did i fell safe at home?

but if you think your rib is broke you should probaly go
They might but they will ask questions. If your under abuse you should call the cops.
