I just got stitches above my top lip..how long will it take for the swelling to go down?

it will be swollen for a few days......ice will help and be very careful when you are eating. hope you feel better and the swelling is very normal. you will be just fine. :)
give it a day or two,,,and don't forget to use ice for any discomfort.
not long but if you really want them to heal fast without a big scar use aloe vera gel on it..not gel with any additives, if you have a plant cut the leaf and use the gel thats the best, we had a small girl who came to me with stiches above her eye that she wouldnt leave alone and it got infected, I put aloe on it and we had to take out the stiches almost two weeks earlier than the doctor had rescheduled to take them out..and there was no scar...I've seen it heal other wounds just as quickly...hope it helps
