I Listened To My Music Too Loudly, And Now I Have A Throbbing Pain In My Ear. Should I Be Worried?
Question:
Should I be worried? Is it something that will heal over night?
Answers:
If it doesnt settle by the morning. Go to the Docs as you may have damaged your ear drums. They are quite sensitive and prolonged use of earphones and such like will cause deafness.
I really wish the best for you.. by the way most drummers go deaf.. :-(
If I was you I would go see a doc.
I would. Call your doctor for a appointment immediately!
I am not sure about the pain but my whole childhood my Dad would listen to music on headphones. ALL the time and he would listen to it loud. Now.... he is half deaf. I have to talk to him on the phone REALLY loud so he can hear me. He really needs a hearing aid. So, if I were you I would turn down the music or stop using headphones if you like your hearing.
I hope the pain goes away and it gets better soon!
(he is only in his 50's now)
Believe it or not you could puncture your eardrum that way. If it doesn't go away by Monday I would get it checked and don't listen to the headphones like that again or you could be in some real pain and do permanent damage.
forget the pain, you're screwing up your ears, your hearing, just listening to loud anything
Well just so you know playing loud music in your ears doesn't make you look cool. It makes you look like a complete idiot. Lots of people won't even want to hear the music coming from your head phones. And yes you should be worried because listening to music that loud creates deafness. Maybe you will need a hearing aid.
It should heal ive gotten it tons of times and im good, the ears are made to heal. you shouldnt get worried unless you get bleeding or really really bad pain just let em heal up. If you do get bad really bad symptoms just go to your doctor no biggie.
If the pain persists, by all means see a doctor soon. Wouldn't hurt to get it checked anyway. And yeah, loud headphones will kill your hearing after a while. Then you have to get one of those funny-looking thingies to wear inside your ear so you can hear, and people will start forming their words REALLY BIG with their mouths when they talk to you.
But for heavensake don't use headphones while driving! You need to be able to hear what's going on around you!
well many ppl dont know this but head phones do damage ur ear/ hearing in some way or another. 2 avoid this u shouldnt listen 2 music or anything with headphones on that is louder than the sounds u normally hear around u without ur headphones (u can still listen 2 loud music but u shouldnt reagularly). but since the extremly loud volume incident was a one-time-only thing then it should be fine with rest unless youve done it everyday 4 the last week. then u have a problem and should see the doctor.
yes it can make you have hearing lost, i use to do that all the time in the car in bed you name it. now I'm paying for it with a 60% hearing lost in each ear... i can tell you this, if you can stil hear turn the volume down, because you stil have time to save your hearing, not being able to hear is no fun at all trust me..
