Sprained thumb?

Question:
I sprained my right thumb last year while playing powder puff football. It's been almost a year, but it still hurts occasionally when I'm holding things or picking things up. It's not a constant pain, though. Is this normal? What causes the aching? Will it always be like this?

Answers:
See an orthopeadist, could be a tiny tendon tear/injury that you easily re-injure. Best to get it checked out before it becomes a serious issue. Also, they may have bracing ideas to help keep the injury/pain from re-curring.
get a splinter.
It will as long as you don't get it acupunctured. Try going to a acupuncturist and they can help fix your problem.
First, that is soooo cool that you play Powder Puff football. Second, maybe if you keep on having these occastional pains, go to a doctor. But I bet that is most of the advice that you are getting, if I was a doctor of course I would tell you.
alot of times when a person injures a part of there body especially a joint they have problems in the future. arthritis is likely on injured points.
Sometimes sprains take a long time to heal completely. They're easy to injure again.
