Self-Harm scars- Do they ever heal/fade?

Question:
I have old and new scars from self harm, some about 8/9 years old. Is it possible to get something (cheaper the better!) to help the scars fade? Or will they fade over time anyway?

Answers:
They will fade over time but depending on how deep they where depends on how long it will take to fade possible that they will never go all together try going to your local chemist they will be able to sugest something to cover them or something to help them fade hope you find something that helps good luck
I suggest that you try Mederma. If they have not faded by now on their own, it's unlikely that they ever will. You can find Mederma (or similar scar fading creams) at your local pharmacy.
No scars do not fade!! You can however buy some stuff from the chemist that can cover scars thus reducing their appearance!!
Stop harming yourself!
my friend used to get bullied a lot, and self harm cos of it.. then one day i said to her, whose side are you on? then she stopped..

she still has scars, and quite frankly, my opinion, serves her and others right !
They'll fade but they will always be a reminder about maybe not being so silly in the future!
You can use any over the counter scar creme to try to help them fade. I have self injury scars and they are fading slowly but I have some that are over 12 yrs old and you can barely see them, but they are still there. You might try,
Mederma. They have commercials for the kids version out, I am not sure about the adult version, I would think that kid stuff would be about the same.

Yeah it is possible to get the scars to fade a little...but first you have to make sure that the scars in your heart have healed or else you will be asking this question for the rest of life, everytime to hurt yourself.
try bio oil been seeing loads of ads on tv for it lately.
In the UK you can get a product called Bio Oil from a chemist, it is claimed to reduce the appearance of scaring/ stretch marks it costs around 8-9 £ but could be worth a go ( I Don't know if it would be successful on old scarring)
Good luck.
