Ice..put ice on it not heat. it will calm down the inflammation hopefully enough for you to get it back in place..take ibropropen at least 400 mil to calm down the muscles holding the bones...it is aweful to crack your neck just because of things like this...once you get the ibropropen and ice keep it on for as long as you can and then gently roll your head around in both directions to see if it will pop back in, if not dont go to a doctor...they dont know how to handle this...go to a chiropracter who will realiegn your neck for you...it sounds like you dislocated a vertabre.the ice will help alot to sooth the pain, I take a towel and put crushed ice in a plastic bag and put it on the towel on my neck so it isnt painful, wet the towel which will transfer the cold better...Ive been thru three neck injuries...so this is not unfamilar to me at all...if you have a vibrator after you soak the neck and take the ibroprophen, it will help to loosen the neck up...and quit popping your neck..you should never force your neck to pop...and now you see why...hope it helps
WELL>>> go to the doctor! or the emergency room! the longer you wait the worse itll get. you might have nerve damage. this isnt anything to mess around with.
Based on your symptoms, you should definitely be evaluated by a medical professional ASAP. Best to go to the ER if you can't make it to your Doc's office. Call you step-day and let him know what's going on. The facial twitching, headache, the sharp pain down the leg, and the inability to move your neck side-to-side is not normal. In the meantime, take some Motrin/Advil ( Ibuprofen) , it will help the headache. How is your vision ( eyesight )?? Has it changed?? Any numbness/tingling of your hands, fingers or arm? Dizziness or lightheadedness ?? Please, seek medical help !! Good Luck !!
the best advise i can give you when you are dealing with the nerves in your neck is to yea see a doctor as soon as possible...the best case scenario you probably pulled a muscle the worst case you have some nerve damage and when it comes to nerve damage my neurosurgeon told me that it is irreplaceable no surgery can repair damaged nerves...hopefully your doctor can crack your back and stop some of the twitching but i would defiantly recommend your doctor doing it not one of your friends...otherwise if your in pain now use ibuprofen or Tylenol until you can get into the doctors...also a little heat wouldn't hurt...
