Need doctors' attention please. my niece had a baby.she began to get pain in her wrists right after baby's


Question:
birth. doctors ignored it.
when the baby was 3 month old, she began to lose grip on things.she has shooting pain. baby is 9 month now and she is getting worse.
doctors say she has a condition called Dequervains Tensonyzitis..and recommend surgery, but say " she can't use her hands for 3 months post surgery."
will some one explain or give the best advise?
