Question:
Answers:
Not a good idea... infection city
I never heard of anything like this before.
There are NO antibiotic qualities in sugar. If you were away from civilization, and injured yourself, you could scrub a wound out with it,to remove dirt & debris etc.Take care. SW FNP
Sugar??
Uh...no. Not a good idea. Sugar is not sterile and could cause a raging infection. Your best bet is to thoroughly wash the wound and flush with peroxide. Apply some neosporin and a sterile bandage.
Who told you that??
EMT
I have herd some elderly ppl who say they use to pack a wound full of sugar and gauz But know there are many way better options
I wouldn't use sugar on a wound. Just keep it clean and maybe use some polysporin on it to keep away infection.. or see a doctor depending on the depth of the wound.
well as i heard, the Pharaons (in egypt) on their time, no doctors, no medicines except herbal medication, they applied honey (Pure Honey) to the wounded person. and it was very effective, but sugar never heard something like that..
