Is it true that if you drink lots of water before you go to bed?
Question:
How much water do you drink to wake up in how much time?
Like 1L = 2 hours if u get the idea?!
And does this actually work without you wetting yourself?
Answers:
You have nerves in your bladder that let you know when it's time to pee.
Of course you do (and are supposed to) wake up at night if you really have a full bladder.
There's no way you can predict it, it's different for every person.
Me, I ALWAYS have to go pee right before bed, else I'm up all night from the discomfort of holding it.
Rule of thumb:
Dont' drink anything (aside from mebbe a sip of water) at least an hour before bed, right before bed USE THE BATHROOM!
I don't know. Try it.
u do wake up if u need the toilet. amount depends on your bladder, some ppl can hold lots of fluid while others because of sickness or their anatomy cant
yes
if you're potty trained, you almost never leak anymore when you sleep. anywho, an easier way to get someone to wet their bed: put their hand/hands in warm water. it works. i tried it before.
You should drink water during the day to prevent dehydration. If you drink it mostly at night you may have to get up and then lack of sleep will be the problem.
It works for me. What I actually do is drink a large glass of water during the 15 or so minutes before I go to bed. That way, in the morning I have more motivation to wake up and not just go back to sleep after my alarm wakes me up since I gotta go so bad. Sort of a natural safeguard against over sleeping.
most people would, but you would probably sleep through it and wet your bed.
I do believe you are correct, you will definitly have to go to the toilet. I'm not touching the last question.
Having never wet the bed I can only guess, but I am sure you would wake up providing it was not alcohol you drank in those quantities!
My kids sleep walk to the toilet and back to bed, never peeing the bed or floors!
surely it's easier to buy an alarm clock?
well yes , you will wake up when you have to go, but it's a little known fact that your production of pee slows down to almost nothing when you are asleep, a natural mechanism that helps you sleep better. The water stays in your bloodstream. That's why your first pee of the day is so yellow and concentrated and why you generally have to go again right after your first cup of tea in the morning. So you would have to drink a LOT of water, and if I drink a pint of water before sleeping I always find i have to get up to pee before I have properly gone to sleep. Alcohol of course upsets the natural mechanism, and apparently so does heart disease so people with heart disease have to get up to pee in the night much more often.
Yes, you will wake up to use the toilet. The average amount of liquid a adult male can hold in their bladder is 18 ounces, but your system slows down when you sleep so you must drink quite a bit of water before you go to bed. About 2 liters and you will wake up in about 5-6 hours. I have done it many times if I had to get up early for work. Always used a alarm though, I just hit snooze too many times. This way I have to get out of bed.
Luckily, if I drank lots of water before I went to bed my room is right next to the loo, mind you I'd be very careful how I stood up, trickle trickle.
