Is there any financial help for medical bills in Lagos, Nigeria?
Question:
Answers:
This is a scam. Do not communicate any further with this person.
You said yourself that you don't know this person well. If you haven't sent any money, DON'T. If you have, DON'T send ANYMORE.
Scams like this are all over the internet. The scams may change but they are basically all the same. Save yourself from heartache and financial ruin...stop all communication. This person's "son" likely doesn't even exist. There was no car accident. There are no medical bills.
Think about it...why would someone from the other side of the world seek out an individual person they don't know in another country? I hope you haven't fallen for this. Be smarter next time with you chat with.

It is a scam! Pure and simple. Scamming is the way of life for many many Nigerians. It is what many do! I have heard this type of scam many times--hospital bills. Ya! Right! Is the hospital not allowing his son to leave till he pays? Ask him! Typically, places like that WILL NOT treat a patient UNLESS,...read this carefully---...---They get paid FIRST! An example of this scam someone emailed to me:
" ...I was treating of a broken leg and now i wont be released if the hospital bills is not paid .I really need ur helpout of this place and secondly the hotel traced me to the hospital for there hotel bills i am owing boththe hotel and the hospital the total sum of $850 please help me out of this place."
