Answers:
Silicon scar sheets. Try this website www.rejuveness.com. They are a little pricey, but last forever and are reusable. You can order custom sizes as well. I use this for my 6 inch knee surgery scar and it works so well. My scar has faded so much in just a few months. Neosporin also makes some that you can find in your local drugstore's first aid isle that are cheaper, but they are smaller and wouldn't work if your scar is big.
Mederma skin care for scars is a relatively new formula that was developed and from what I hear, it works well.
You can buy it over-the-counter at Rite-Aide, Wal-Mart, Walgreens.
i've heard that rubbing vitamin E on scars can help. there's also a cream called Maderma that's supposed to be really good at reducing the appearance of scars, but it's expensive. good luck. your doctor may have some good ideas as well. you might even find something on yahoo health or web md.
Cocoa butter.
