Airborne school,Old Knee Injury?

Question:
If I went to Airborne school would my previous Tibia Platoe fracture and minor meniscus tare be an issue on my knee, what are the odds of it re-breaking or becoming much worse? (people who have experience in jump school proffered)

Answers:
I believe it all depends on how the injuries healed. If they are things you feel can reoccur easily you may want to go get the advice of a doctor. If you feel they've healed well, I see no reason why you couldn't go. In jump school there are only five jumps. There are many soldiers who jump frequently with worse injuries than what you describe. One of the big issues to remember if you decide to go is to not adjust anything to avoid making your previous injuries worse because you can easily get new ones doing so. The training is there to help you avoid injury in every way possible. While in the 82nd I tore a ligament in my knee on a jump due to an entanglement and after it healed I kept on jumping, but it's entirely up to you if you feel capable of handling it.
