I need any information on INVERSION THERAPY please everyone! It's for back pain and you lie upside down?
Question:
Heat Bags, and applying intense pressure on the visibly inflamed areas, relax the muscles a little, but after hearing a little about "Inversion Therapy'',it sparked my interest because it just seemed to make sense. I do know this - that you purchase a device (possibly called an Inversion Table?) and you lay on it (face up on your back). I think you must be strapped to the thing or something,, and it swings upside down, so that you are virtually doing a handstand in the air, and most importantly - has anybody had much success with this Therapy? All information on the topic will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The inversion tables are great for so many things. My doctor won't let me get one until he finishes adjusting me, but he said they would help me. I've got fibromyalgia and have always had sway back. I think I've had back pain for at least 15 years. The cheapest one I found on the internet was $119. There are other, more advanced tables, but they say that the cheap ones works too. I'm thinking about getting one that is about $150 because it is small and compact. I don't have room for a professional one anyway. Look up inversion tables on the internet and there are so many sites with different prices. The funny thing is that most of the tables are the same brand, so I'd look at price as the main factor. Hope you can get relief. I'm excited about getting one in a few months.
I don't know about the different techniques associated with inversion therapy, however i do know a great store that carries a line of furniture that properly supports the back. Its called "Relax the Back". The zero-gravity chair there is wonderful on my back. I bought one and am so pleased. I'm sure they have a website...goggle it!
Inversion of the body on these inversion tables will provide traction to the vertebral segments and also stretch your tight muscles, provided you can relax in it. I think you are able to counterbalance the table to allow varying degrees of inversion. That way you don't pass out the first time you use it! I've never used one before, but I understand how they work. I guess you just need the room to store such a device. Go shop around and see if you find a place to test one out. With your posture, you should also perform a good flexibility program and core/postural strengthening exercises...hopefully your Chiropractor has you performing some sort of exercise program. Good luck!
