Right ear hole had become a bit like a slit (a bit of blood clot inside)?

Question:
I just took my earrings out after three and a half months. They are not heavy earrings, but there is a small dangling part (hearts) and the part you put through the ear is thick silver. My left ear hole is fine, but my right ear hole is a bit bigger (longer), like a bit of a slit, the hole has grown a bit in the direction of the bottom of my earlobe and the color inside is of blood.

The reason I kept the earrings in all the time is because my holes would be on the verge of closing up if I forgot to put earrings in for maybe a month or so.

Will the slit close up, and my question is: Will it close up from top to bottom or bottom to top of the slit? Otherwise I am worried that the position of the hole may shift relative to the left ear.

Answers:
If you allow your earring to sit at the bottom of the slit, your ear will heal with the slit formation. I recently heard or read about this product that helps heal ears properly when slits have appeared. It's some sort of invisible medical-type tape that you put on the back of your ear. This allows your earring to sit up in the proper position, thus allowing the hole to heal from the bottom up. I'll look to see if I can find it online...brb

The link below shows the product I was thinking of. But talk to a piercing specialist first. They should be able to tell you exactly what you need to do for your ear to heal properly.
