Best thing to do for acid reflux that wont cause diarhea?
Question:
My first ? is does it start at your lower rib cadge and sit there a few mins and then move into your chest and them move back down?
Also what is the best stuff to take over the counter that will help ease the pain that will not casue diarhea or constipation?

I used to have Acid Reflux BAD. After several years of suffering I found my perfect cure. I've given the message to others with reflux and IBS and they have had good results as well. I quit drinking tap water. No tap water anywhere, anytime. No restaurant water. No ice from tap water. I have my own well now and I am much recovered.
It doesn't happen all at once and you have to stick with it for a long time to get results. I saw improvement in two weeks, though. Avoid over eating.
Now I only drink bottled water and my home well water. I like Aquafina, Orzaka, and San Pelegreno, but I think about anything with the city additives removed will do. The osmosed stuff didn't do it for me.

The popular one over the counter is prilosec. as for perscriptions, there are the nexium, prevacid or protonix. They are all good.

First of all irritable bowels occur because there is an excess secretion of bile. This irritates the intestines & when you eat, an unnatural pressure it applied on the lower abdomen & this forces a feeling of wanting to pass stools & you do too.
There are a couple of things you need to do in this case.
1. First of all, if you're staying up late or are having untimely eating habits, immediately stop it.
2. Get up early in the morning, say by 5- 6 am. Drink 2 glasses of lukewarm water with a pinch of salt. This will kill bacteria, also help in clearing the intestines.
3. you may also be having excess mucus formation. Can you mention what is the consistency, whether the mucus is sticky, white , green or yellow in colour?
4. Do you get cramps in the calf muscles, hair fall, delayed or irregular menses, uncontrolled anger, frustration etc..
5. Do you also suffer from a feeling of lethargy, tiredness etc.
6. Do you get migraine headaches, sinusitis, bronchial congestion, back pain, especially in the middle & lower back?
Let me know all other symptoms including those I've asked you about. IBS is very easily solved. But it is necessary to understand symptoms. There are various reasons for it. & I'll get to know the reasons in your case if you are able to describe your symptoms accurately.

Life style change - Small bites chew at least 20 times per bite - portion control. Acid reflux is a product of the stomach not being able to keep the food so it backs up into the esophagus. Eat at least 3 hours before you lay down preferably longer.
Constipation is usually from fatty foods - all meat should be lean. The other reason is not enough vegies (they hold water and flush the system).
The runs - are usually from eating too much of a particular thing - example one or two bananas are good for magnisium and potassium that are required for muscles to maintain their flexability but 5 (for example) will give you the runs.
Water or any other NON SUGAR drinks where quantity = your body weight divided by 2 times ounces daily. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil - things can go very wrong.
Ease into eating more veggies to avoid problems like pain and bloating.
Other - Muscles like ropes are made of many fibers or strands. If some of the individual fibers that work in combination to make the muscle strong are not relaxing they bulk up in the middle and are stretched thin on the ends which results in the appearance of "knots" they are the tender spots. The muscles that effect headaches can come from as far away as the lower back and include shoulders, arms, neck and head causing a cascade effect. So a massage (professional if possible) will help.
Arms frequently have knots not just in the arm (especially upper) but shoulders, back, and neck. Until you can reach around behind you one arm up and the other down and at least come close to touching your fingers there are probably more knots. To help get the ones under your shoulder blade - keep you elbow down and put your hand on the opposite shoulder while (if you dont have anyone helping) lean into the corner of a building to apply pressure to the knot.
Specific to the leg - run your hand lengthwise down the section of leg that hurts. You will find tender spots these are the knots described above. Apply pressure to this area in a similar motion just over the length of the knot - it will take many sessions of doing this once or twice per session to get the muscle to relax.
Specific to the head - at the base of the skull where it connects to the spine there is a ridge in an upsidedown V like shape - press in and up to the count of three, three times to help relax the muscles there. All through the hair scratch lightly the head you will find tender spots those are knots (rub the rest of the head) the idea is to go over them semi frequently until they are gone.
General - Muscles need magnisium (regulates many things) and potassium - both can be found in bananas or molasses (a swig or two)
Hydrate with any nonsugar (even the substitutes) liquids - quantity = your body weight divided by 2 times ounces daily. The head of neurology (10 years ago) at UCDavis told my husband that running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil - there will be problems.
