My tongue hurts so bad can't even talk but have to go to work will you still pick up the phone at work?

Tell work you have a really sore throat. I want you to take some baking soda on that blister it will hurt like hell but it will help it heal. They also have medicine that will numb it so you can talk. Look in the dental isle at your local store.

Buy an anesthetic spray meant for your throat and spray some on the blister. This should provide partial relief. Also, make sure you taking some Vitamin C.
u need to swish with salt water to help with the blister.(1tsp.salt, 8oz water) and I hate to tell you but if your at work and your job description rquires you to answer the phone, you are gonna have to so you don't get into trouble.
how did you get this blister? did you bite your tongue? are you on new medicine? did you eat something too hot? sometimes certain foods can do it like sweettarts.
Warm salt water rinses will help clear that up. At work, just do the best you can, and talk the best you can using as few words as possible. There's no point in being rude, but there's also nothing wrong with telling someone about your problem if they notice you are talking funny. Do the warm salt water rinses 2 or 3 times a day and it should start feeling better pretty soon.
I would write a note that says " I bit my tongue, sorry I can't talk" and show them if they ask you something.
If you say you have a blister they may keep asking you questions. I wouldn't pick up the phone. If you talk weird they might thinks its unprofessional
