Removal of an ingrown toenail/how bad will the shot hurt how bad will the procedure hurt...?
Question:
I left it go for a few months and dont really want to go at all, all the things I read about it make the shot sound absolutely terrible.
I have had shots in my mouth before to get teeth removed will it hurt more than that?
what can you compare the pain from the shot too? also how bad does the procedure hurt and about how long will it take?
also will i have to use crutches or will i be able to walk afterwards? please give me lots of details about the shot and pain from it and the procedure, i cant even get to sleep thinking about it.

My girlfriend had the same procedure done about 4 months ago. She is the type of person that hates pain, pain is her worste nightmare. She is afraid to get a shot done. She prolongs it for months. She even prolonged this procedure, until the pain in her toe was too great to stand. She got it done and said it didn't hurt at all. If my girlfriend can handle it that hates pain, you certainly can. It didn't hurt after the fact either. Go in their tomorrow with a positive mind, and know that this won't hurt. It may look painful, but it won't be. That's one thing she said, it looks painful so she couldn't watch, but she felt nothing. Good luck buddy.
UMMMMM EWWWW! Im not answerig that on account of I dont have an ingrown toenail and because that is GROSS! Sorry hope it doesnt hurt! LOL!! And I think you should ask your doctor if it will hurt not people that you dont know! k! Unless your doctor is getto! LOL!!
My ex-husband had this done. I honestly don't remember what he said about the shot. He said it hurt to have it done but it wasn't excruciating - it was bearable. It got sore and he wore open-toed sandals for a few days. He didn't have to have crutches and didn't have any trouble walking. He was really glad he had it done, I do remember that. Good luck!
I don't know about the crutches thing or not. The shot won't hurt anymore than any other shot. If you get a shot to numb the area, the procedure shouldn't hurt much at all. I know when my husband had an ingrown toenail and the doctor took off a quarter+ of his toenail. The after affect was most uncomfortable -- he was a great big baby about the whole thing. It really all depends on how much of the toenail the doctor takes to take care of the problem whether you will be comfortable walking, and of course your pain tolerance.
That depends on how much they are removing. I just got part of my nail trimmed down and deadened... I was a lot younger, and I don't remember the pain of the shot because they spray cold stuff on your foot.I just remember reading the same page in my book over and over again because I was so nervous lol but it wasn't that big a deal. It was over for a while before I realized it, and my toe looks normal. I could walk but you have to change the bandages a lot. My mom got her entire nail removed though, and deadened. She could walk too... I asked her and she said its a little worse than a dentist shot but the cold spray makes it fine... any questions contact me, and relax its not that bad :)
I had to go through that when I was about 8 or 10 years old. It fu**in hurt. OMG...When you stub your toe into a corner..the pain is a worse than that. But you have to go through it. You might need to limp out and rest for a day maybe two but no crutches. The procedure doesn't take that long. Just a few shots under your toe nail and they wrap it up and you will be done.
That's all the details I can give you..it was more than ten years ago...but don't put it off GO..Good luck. Back then they had nothing for the pain..see if they have some type of pain killer for you.
GOOD LUCK...you'll probably shed a tears..it's okay.
