Are you an RN like me? General spider veins shouldn't hurt, but some varicose do. A dermatologist can inject spider veins with sodium chloride solution and they will shrink. Varicosities need stripping/surgery. What has your MD said? Also, you need better shoes. Invest in a pair of Danskos. They will support your legs. You should also wear support hose. Put them on right when you wake up in the morning while you are in bed. Lie on your back and put your legs up in the air and put them on that way.
HAMAMELIS VIRGINIANA
Witch-hazel
(HAMAMELIS VIRGINICA)

This is the chosen remedy for varicose veins. Take 30C homeopathic pills 4 pills 4 times daily till you feel relieved.

Along with this, take CALCAREA FLUORICA 6x - 2 pills twice daily for a week. Then stop it for one week, again continue for one week. Do this every alternate week for a month.

Both are homeopathic remedies and have no side effects.
I am a female of age 72, but I look & act much younger. (55) I have a lot of health problems but I try not to let them get me down. I also have spider veins & varicose ones ! For someone who won a contest for the most beautiful legs, they now look like roadmaps. I have to tell you I have had pain w/ the varicose veins but NOT with the spider veins. Personally, I think you should be checked for NEUROPATHY & diabetes. I do have neuropathy, since I am diabetic; but I can (& do) control it w/ a sugar free diet.
My mother had all of her veins stripped during her 50's.
Try excluding white sugar & sweets from your diet for awhile & just see if it makes a difference. With all the tests I had it took YEARS to be diagnosed w/ diabetes.
When my legs bothered me. (neuropathy) I'd lay awake all night w/ the pain & it felt like something crawling on my legs all night long.
Just TRY this & then we'll see who had the best answer for you !!
First you may think that you don't need more time on your feet, But you do need to do more than just stand about or take small steps. When you do that most of the muscles in your legs get weak. Weak muscles tire easier & hurt more than well toned ones.

So if you can work in walking the stairs or walking where you are taking longer strides you will help tone your legs.

Then you should take some breaks where you can kick back & elevate your legs once in a while during the day.

This should be done in a way that gets it done with out spending more time in total on your feet for the day.

Well it is just a thought.
