Ankle pops like a rubber band after wearing heels??

Question:
I've got a slight pain in my left ankle. When I walk I can feel an occasional "pop" once in a while, like a rubber band snaps. And the ankle is a slightly different shape from the normal one.The only thing I did differently is wear 4 inch heels a couple weeks ago.
What did I do to my ankle? Will it go away or is it permanate? Do I have to go to a doctor? What kind? =(

Answers:
My ankle does the same thing, but it stopped hurting really quickly. Sorry, but it hasn't goe away. I don't wear heels so I don't know how that fits in, but it wont hurt after a little bit. Mine happens every time I take a step. My friend went to the doctor for the same issue, and the doctor told her that it was normal, but never mentioned if it would go away. Hope this helps!
I had that problem, but mine was an extreme case. I have a soft tissue disorder and lax ligaments. I would suggest a foot and ankle specialist. He may suggest a brace or physical therapy to start out with. I have had to stop wearing heels completely. But we can only guess as to what's going on inside your ankle. I would make an appointment as soon as possible. Hopefully it's something that PT will help. And good luck!
