What should I do to stop this fever?

Question:
I started getting symptoms how inconvinient on the athletics carnival day. I had then a kind of headache the one that you feel rattles well yea I only noticed this however when Id been lying on my back and got up straight. Another was I felt slightly fatigue I felt quite tired even with 9 hours sleep which is enough. I felt hungry but when I was eating I felt like I was sick. The only way I didnt was from drinking liquids so I brought two UP and Go's there like liquid meals. However these didnt help either especially when I had ran in the 100m I felt extremely exghausted and could barely keep my eyes open. I know I was stupid to enter but Im an athlete and I wanted to still compete. I stopped after the next race 200m after I almost fainted and the next day I had off school to rest which I had the same symptoms. Just to let you know its been 3 days all together including the carnival and my temperature has been 39 degrees celsius. My headache and other symptoms have gone down less.

Answers:
see a doctor
Like are you taking any otc medication for the headache/fever? Why not? Can take extra-strength tylenol, or Alieve, or whatever you use. This should help with the aches. Drinking plenty of fluids is what you should be doing. Also getting more rest then you usually get. Maybe you should try seeing your Dr. Usually a virus doesn't cause a fever, but it could.
Take a wet cold wash cloth and place between the base of your skull and the nap of your neck. Continue to drink liquids, but include fruit juices and soup broth. Take some aspirin for the headache and ibrprophen for the swelling. Avoid Salt, if you have sports drinks it will cause more pressure.

As for sore throat gargle with lemon juice and salt. one cup of hot water, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons salt, mix well and gargle for 30 seconds each time until the cup is finished.

It is also time for you to rest and STOP physical exertion! You need at least 2 great days of sleep and relaxing. Then you will feel better. Once you "feel" better you need to take if easy for a week. I know that you are busy but you have to realize that if you push yourself you can overheat your system again, and the next time you might end up in the hospital for more than a week. Trust me, it has happened to me, I was there almost a month!

I will be praying for you.
