If you truly have herniated discs you can only really have surgery or wait it out and hope that your body absorbs and dries out those discs that have herniated. What most docs do is give you 800mg of ibuprofen, which is the same as taking four advil (200mg each) To tell you the truth nothing over the counter will really help you, it may take a little bit of the edge off. Did you have a MRI to confirm your discs are herniated? Because if they are just budging there are thing you can do to help. Hope this helps
I am bias but I would say book an appointment with a massage therapist. I have 2 clients with similar conditions that I see at least 2x a month. Make sure u tell your therapist what the problem is and if your state requires licence. Check his/her license.
use some deep muscle rub like bengay and take 4 otc ibuprofen. That is the same as one prescription strength ibuprofen. My best friend has degenerative disk disease and this hlps her. When this doesn't work she knows it is time to get an epidural. Have you ever had an epidural? It would help you alot.
if you are looking for a good otc product, try using aleve. it is a naproxen, which is very good at relieving even the worst pain. if that still isnt strong enough, ask your doctor to prescribe a prescription strength naproxen or even vicodin
