What should i do, my back hurts, the area that is near the butt?

Question:
area.

Answers:
I'm experiencing the same thing right now. I usually lay on my back with a pillow or two under my knees, that seems to help a little. It may be muscle spasms, or maybe you just bent or lifted something wrong?

Hope you feel better soon:-)
you really didnt give enough info to help...description of area, type of pain etc without that stuff i'll tell you as an equine vet with over 7000 professional horseback riding hours,.. ibuprofen, hot compresses and drinking lots of water helps so much!
Well, it depends on what kind of pain and have u had any kind of trauma recently a fall or lifting something the wrong way..it could indicate a kidney infection but that will need to be verified by a doctor..if it is not due to that then u could have tense lower back muscles with some adhesion's. I would recommend a firm pressure massage on the entire body but to make sure they do the gluteal( bottom) area because allot of lower back pain is attributed to gluteaus tense muscles or spasms and some good stretching and drink plenty of water...call around your community some local collages may offer massages from their student clinics that may be very affordable for a full body 1 hour...make sure there is not other medical reason for it first.
Not sure exactly which part you are talking about and not sure if it's related to the spine. Have you experienced any hard fall or carrying heavy object recently? Are you feeling weak on your lower region? If yes, it could be related to the spine.

There's only few possibilities. First, maybe you have slip disc, second maybe you disc degeneration/deformation, third maybe crack in the vertebra and forth maybe pinching of spinal cord.

If that is really the case, then you should consult an orthopeadic surgeon.

It could be quite serious if the pain continues. It could paralyze your lower region. So get a check up soon.

Thanks.
i had that same problem a couple of months ago...i went to the chiropracter a couple of times and he fixed me up...from there on i just do the stretching excerisises he told me..you should do the same..he will check you and tell you what you have..i can almost garauntee you a chiropracter will help...you can try sleeping with a pillow under your knees..you have to watch the way you slepp(posture)..and ice the area once in a while.
To get you through the night:

Ice for 20 min, rest 20 min, ice 20min,...
Stretch one leg at a time pulling your knee to your chest
Sleep with a pillow under your knees or between them
Drink plenty of water

If the pain persists, or if it is ongoing:

Consult a good chiropractor. He/she will be able to identify if it is a structural/nerve/muscle issue. Many chiropractic clinics have massage therapists employed. Between the two, they will have you figured out!

PS-Depending on how far down the pain is, it could be your tailbone out of place. Don't be intimidated by this, it is actually quite easy (and painless!) to correct.

Good Luck
autorelaxation helps.

You may be having pain at the joint right above the joint of both the buttocks, a little below the waistline.
this can be an inflammation of the coccyx. You may also experience more pain, especially when you are proceeding to sit down or when you are just about to get up.
you can take a tooth pick & pree it at the pint in between the middle & the ring finger on the left hand, at the beginning of the web starting from the palm side. Try to locate the most tender or sensitive portion. Press it gently there & keep it pressed for about 5 minutes. Massage it slightly after that. do this 2 - 3 times. Your pain should vanish.
