Clots in the leg?
Question:
Answers:
you have clots if your leg is red and warm to the touch and swollen
you might just have an overworked muscle
It does not always have to be warm or red. If it is a clot, it could be lodged there, waiting to let loose and go to the lungs, heart, or brain.
My husband had a clot in his leg last year and never knew it. No pain, swelling, or discomfort at all. It broke loose and went to his lung. He was only 35, was on his feet all day at work.
But we are thinking the worst here too. It could be just a little sprain also. Or arthritis, or many other things. The best thing to do is make an appt with your doctor and go get it checked.
Usually redness and warmth appear on the leg if you have had the clot for a little while. I had leg pain and swelling for well over a month before I was diagnosed with a blood clot. During the time that I had it, it grew larger rather than breaking off and traveling any where else in my body. Your pain could be a result of many different things. For peace of mind and your own safety, you should get this checked out sooner than later. Blood clots can easily break loose and travel to your lungs, heart, or brain. I almost died from a blood clot when I was 23. Luckily, they diagnosed it in time to remove it safely!
