Try some acupressure on your own hand. It's super simple to do and can provide significant relief in a matter of minutes.
The best point to stimulate for relief from headaches and general aches and pains throughout the body is located in the soft, fleshy web that sits between your thumb and forefinger. You can use the thumb and forefinger of one hand to stimulate this point in your other hand.
Massage this point with as much pressure as you can comfortably tolerate for however long it takes to feel better or get tired. It doesn't matter which hand you stimulate. You can work on just one hand, or do both hands, one at a time. If you're on the right spot, you should feel a slight, achy sensation, almost as though you're touching a nerve. Actually, massaging this point stimulates branches of the three major nerves - radial, median, and ulnar - that travel from your spinal cord to your hand. Stimulating these nerves will help your body produce endorphins and enkephalins, which act as natural pain killers.
If it could be sinuses you could try standing in a hot shower.
You can try putting ice on the nape of your neck and forehead.
I usually don't like to take meds, so I always depending on how I feel, use a wet rag, either hot or cold, and put it across my forehead and I try to lay with my eyes closed until I fall asleep. When I wake, I usually feel a lot better. Otherwise, I use self-massage to relax my face and head. I lay down on the couch in a comfortable position, and I gently rub my temples, etc... until I feel relaxed enough to doze. Once again, I usually wake up feeling better. Hope this helps you!
Fill your kitchen sink with water and ice cubes.
Submerge your forearms up to the elbows for three to five seconds at a time. The headache should go away within less than a minute.
It works because it pulls the blood away from the brain and into your arms, therefore backing the pressure down and you won't have that throbbing sensation in your head.
You can also pinch the top of the bridge of your nose, with your fingertips right next to the eye sockets. That will stop a headache if it's your sinuses.
I have frequent headaches so I pity you.
What I would do is close all the curtains and blinds and make the room as dark as possible. Then I'd get an ice pack and lay down either putting it on the back of my neck or forehead. Then I'd get out my cell phone and call a friend and beg them to pick me up some Excedrin. Hope you get to feeling better.
Whenever a headache strikes drink lots of water .Lack of oxygen may have lead to your headache. Place a few ice-cubes in a polythene bag, and apply this on the forehead and temples. Check out http://useinfo-headache.blogspot.com/... for more info
