I am 13 and 5'1" and I think this is short but my Dad is 6'3" and my mom is a short 5'2"??

Girls usually stop growing at 15 or even earlier.

genes are like the lottery. its all mixed up and you can never tell what genes you'll get from what parent. you might have gotten the short gene- but so what? little is cute! i'm 5/7 and my sis is 5'8 and my mom is 5'1 and other sis is 5'3- just genes?

I know how you feel! I am 16 years old and 5' 2". My mom is also 5' 2" and my dad is only 5' 1"! So I am probably not going to get any taller. But I think you will probably get taller so don't worry- you are only 13 and you have plenty of time to grow. Some things that you can do to make sure you get taller is have good posture, don't have too much caffiene, have a good diet, drink milk, and get an adequate amount of sleep each night. I'm sure you will get taller! And if you don't then don't worry, it is not a big deal. I hope this answer helps and I hope everything works out 4 you! =)

Just because your dad is over 6 feet that doesn't mean that you will be that tall. I am a mom who is 5'2 and my ex-husband is 5'10 our daughter is already 5'10. She doesn't get her hight from us. My grandmother's brothers are all over 6 feet tall and my great grandparents both were almost 6 feet tall. So I think stick it out, you may still grow some.Be patient and I know that's not easy, but you may only be as tall as your mom.Good luck and take care!
You've still got ages to grow...you'll keep growing till you're 16 or 18. You might experience a growth spurt and you'll put on a few inches in a matter of weeks. My friend had a growth spurt one summer and went from being one of the shortest kids in class to one of the tallest. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you..there's plenty of time for you to get taller!
