When i blow my nose, the air also comes out of the tear duct of my right eye.?

Question:
when i blow my nose, the air also comes out of the tear duct of my right eye. is this normal or should i be worried? this has only been happenning for about a year.

Answers:
The tear ducts are connected to the inside of your nose by a small tube, hence when you cry your nose runs. This is an overflow mechanism to allow your eyes to be freshly lubricated and allow excess tears to flow away without you having to cry all the time.
There isn't much can be done about the air comming out, as if you remove the tube your eyes will weep constantly but visit your GP if it becomes of concern to you.
lol! thats funny
Sounds like you have a gas leak!

LOL!

.
Cool!
normal if you blow hard.
it happens to me too been happening for a few years but the tear duct waters now too when i blow my nose. I'll be checking back for answers!
no i dont think its anything to worry about. it used to happen to me too but its stopped .
Not being funny... but, have you ever taken narcotics?

You must have a perferation there somewhere. Get it checked out.
If you look at the anatomy of the airway you can see it goes right by the tear duct, It is normal that you can exchange air and even liquid through the tear duct.
Your nasal passages are so near your eye socket that it's not too unusual for expelled air to get into the socket, but if it's coming out when you blow your nose you might be concerned about possible infection in your eyes. That could be pretty nasty. I'd say it's worth mentioning next time you visit your doctor.
this sounds weird, so caught my eye (no pun intended). It doesn't sound normal but I can understand how all that sort of stuff links up. You may have a problem here so you might be as well to go to get it checked out.

To be honest I'm not really sure what this could be but i don't think it could be that problematic

; )
I'm not sure, but it tickles sometimes. Pefectly normal im sure.
Would it happen otherwise?
oo this happens to me too. Also my eye can squeak really loudly ...sounds like a door creaking..it's my party trick.

I have had my face x-rayed as I have had this for years and I have a slightly fractured sinus tube that runs from nose via my cheek up to the corner of where my eyebrow starts. The Drs told me nothing to worry about, it's just that air can get in and hence the creaking and air coming out of tear duct as they are all connected.

hope this helps
