How can I relieve pain?

Question:
How can I get relief from chronic pain without the use of drugs?

Answers:
Talk to your doctor about Pain Management. There are doctor's that "deal" with chronic pain without the use of drugs. Also "pain" doctors can use medication such as epidural injections ie: cortisone in a series of 3 times to help with the pain. I have met alot of people who do not want to be dependent on narcotics the rest of their lives...adn they also don't want to take Tylenol, Aleve, etc...either...they can tear up your stomach after a long period of use. Depending on your condition surgery is another options. I work as a medical assistant for neurologists.
maybe God will if you pray to him, notice I said maybe because nothing is certain
Well i wonder the same thing! Myhusband keeps telling me EXERSIZE,,,,,But i do feel better when i walk or stay off the couch,,,,LOL Good luck to you@
Can you be more specific? If it is back, bone, or muscle pain then you should check out a chiropractor or a physical therapist. Whatever it is I hope you get some relief! Good luck.

I heard this Group Is great support hon.
There's heating pads, cool compresses, sitting in a hot tub can be really soothing, Pilate's, swimming is a great exercise for muscles without having to strain, a hot bath at home with epson salt dissolved into the water, get a massage, drink more water. That last one sounds silly, but I suffer from chronic pain and when I increased my water, I felt better in the morning alittle and I was able to move around with more ease to get my day started. It made a difference. Good Luck!
What is causing your pain? Have you worked with a pain management doctor to try to help relieve your pain?
