you need to tell your doctor and they may send you to a sleep specialist, and they will give you a moniter to wear while you sleep a few days to check things out..
Are you a female around 50? That would be menopause. If not, I have no idea...

Bloods to include cancer markers like CEA and CA125A; Also FBE and ESR and full blood workup and clonal IgG's or paraproteins Test also for HIV and other. blood culture and CXR. Been near anyone with TB? HIV? HepC? Lumps and bumps anywahere? Losing weight? Get thyroid checked and Calcium level too. Been overseas? Tcik bite? really need much more info - see a doctor
This can be a symptom of many things...sleep apnea would be an important thing to rule out (do you snore?). Also, a thyroid problem would cause this, and so would diabetes.
You didn't say how old you are or if your male or female! If your a woman could be the start of menopause! I am 32 and I have night sweats also due to onset of early menopause, YUCK!
My BF has that happen to him, but he also gets clammy hands and feet or dryness on his hands and feet at different times of the day. As well as night sweats.
He has hyperdetermeosis (not sure how to spell it)
