Ear infection pain?

Have you ever heard of rolling a newspaper into a funnel shape, insert the tip into the ear, then have someone set the newspaper on fire. Honestly, it works, the fire causes a vacuum in the ear and it will pop, relieving the pain. I realize that this sounds insane, but it really helps.

umm..ear infection are extremly painful...and there isnt that much you can do for them...just take tylenol...or medication that make you sleepy...and apply pressure to your ear if possible...i dont really like the home remdies they never work anyway..if the pain is really bad then go to the e.r and they will take care of you..feel better
try a heat pad wrapped in a towel
take three ibuprofen that's what the pharmacist told me!! I know what you are going thru my mom rushed me to the hospital at midnight for a horrible ear infection i was vomiting and everything so i know what you are going thru!! you might not sleep at all but at least u know 2marrow when the medicine the doc gives you kicks in you will be able to sleep!! hope you fell better!! ♥
there are ear drops you can buy at the drug store that can help with the pain. Or try putting alcohol in your ear, it may help dry out the puss, which can lead to pain relief. I suffer from constant ear infections, which has lead to partial hearing loss, but this helps sometimes. Also try to sleep with the ear that's in the most pain on the pillow to help it drain. I know it's gross, but it works. And make sure to clean the drainage out with a Q-tip.
Try heating up some oil not to hot though get a small spoon or eye dropper and put a couple of drops in the infected ear.
