Crackling noise from knees this morning??

Question:
I've NEVER heard the noises coming from out of all places my knees!! I was laying in bed and raised my leg up and moved it up and down and these crackling noises were so apparent.what is this? Should I worry? After moving it up and down a few times it stopped all together

Answers:
As long as its not painfull when it cracks do not worry about it. If you start having Problems (Pain) associated with it when it Cracks or pops, you need to go see a Doctor. It could be an early onset of Arthritis.. I speak from Experience on this one...
my knees crack alot of times whne i bend them not all of the time but alot i dont know what it is either.
Mmm...monitor it awhile more first. Usually, joint tend to stiffen after prolonged periods of immobilisation due to stiffening of the muscles, and ligaments in and around the joint itself. Stretching out stiff joints can sometimes result in crepitus, which is the crackling sound that you heard. However, if the crackling sound does persist in daily activities and exercises, you may suspect that you have some degree of osteoarthritis, which is normal wear and tear of the knee joint with prolonged use. All of us gets this so not to worry! Monitor first, if persist, see a doctor, get prescription of glucosamine as joint supplement, and do be wary of joint mechanics eg carrying loads, excessive running/jumping/twisting activities to the knees as they cause additional stress to the knees. This is to prolong the shelf life of your knees. Hope this helps =)
