Does an increased heart rate prevent sleep?
Question:
Answers:
Yeah! I mean, it depends why it's increased, I suppose - why is yours? A few days ago I had some sort of flare-up to a stimulant (just randomly) where my heart stayed at 80-100... it's usually 60. I felt like my chest was bursting. And I slept about two hours a day.
Mine just wore off after four or five days... I hope you feel better too!
Yes anytime your BMR is increased it is much harder to sleep. Reasons for this maybe caffeine intake, high glucose or sugar levels, recent cardio activity or stress.
It can, but that all depends on what the rate is and what you're normally at. A rapid pulse (much higher than it usually is) indicates your sympathetic nervous system is in overdrive and so you won't be able to sleep.
