Answers:
I am currently a nursing student...going into my second semester on Monda;y...starting my clinical rotations.
You will do fine as long as you dedicate yourself to studying like crazy and have an open mind to the new way you will begin thinking about things.
Also, don't question your superiors. Don't argue with them. Don't be sarcastic or raise your voice. They are there to teach you and you are just starting out. You know nothing.
Read every day. Try to do something school related each day. Don't slack. It will be hard work but it's going to pay off in the end.
Finally, when answering questions...refer to Maslow. If you don't know the answer.refering to what basic needs are will help you eliminate any answers you are unsure of and DON'T READ TO MUCH INTO THINGS!!
You will soon see what I mean. Good luck to you.
study like crazy. dont goof off to much, the tests are really hard.
Get yourself a pair of the most comfortable nursing shoes you can find. You will be glad you did. All the standing during training is hard on your legs and feet. Good luck with your studies.
play dr with me
seriously good luck most important thing is care about paitents
Yes, learn as much as you can, be kind always, listen closely, and learn of natural medicines too. Most nurses are smarter and better than the doctors...dont ever forget you are dealing with people, not objects...the best nurses are gentle and kind and caring..not cold and brutal and uncarring...there are alot of mean ones out there... be one of the nice ones.
set your mind to study. you have to understand everything from anatomy to the diseases, its treatment and nursing responsibilities. the tests are really hard because you have to analyze the situation. if you go on duty, make sure that you are prepared and have some readings based on what area you are going, like psychiatric ward or in medsurg ward.
nursing is really hard, its like taking up medicine, but i know you can do it.
