on my left leg, the muscle right next to the shin bone feels like its pulling or stretching apart. everytime i walk its a very minor pain, but i can feel it. also it kills when i point my toes down, and when i curl them up and put all my weight forward. could this be shin splints or just a sore muscle. i have soccer on tuesday that i cant miss, so what i can i do to make it healed by then

i would like some sort of instruction on how to heal it by tomorrow

((thankyou)) :]

Answers:
Actually you have tendons there as well. You can tear a tendon or strain one the same as you can pull a muscle. Shin splints are very painful and good tennis shoes are soccer shoes in your case are a prevenative. Any repetive pounding of your full body weight on concrete will cause this condition. Thats why good shoes are are a must. A wrap would be beneficial for you to support your ankle or shin if your going to play soccer this soon. Shin splints need rest and so do sore tendons. You can have tendenitis. Use ice and heat combination. Use ice for swelling and heat for the pain. Theres no way of telling what your true problem is without seeing a Doctor. Aak your coach what to do. Hope this helps.
if its shin splints just ice them and they will stop hurting
Shin splints won't just go away because you put ice on it, my brother had shin splints. What he did was he wore an ankle brace when he played sports, he iced it every night, and he tried to stay off of it when he wasn't playing sports, etc. He also put icy hot on it, which is a cream that you rub onto it.

You can try going to a doctor too.
I am not sure how to cure shin splints.but I can tell you how to prevent them.....before you start running or whatever walk on your heels for a little bit....then walk on your toes....it really helps..maybe you should try stretching them very well or warm up really well before hand
