How safe am i on the pill?
Question:
Boyfriend and I have been considering having sex without condoms, but we want to make sure we do it right and safely as we are not ready to have a baby yet. I have heard different opinion on the subject and I would like to hear some more from your experience. Thank you.
Answers:
Unfortunately, the manufacturers of artificial birth control don't seem very concerned about the safety of their products. You're not safe on the pill, and here's a few reasons why:
1.) The pill has been associated with hypertension, blood clots, myocardial infarctions, migraine headaches, menstrual problems, future infertility, and, most shockingly, a dramatic increase in breast cancer.
2.) Neither the pill nor the condom is not 100 % effective at preventing conception. Nor do they do anything to protect you from catching AIDS or any other STDs. (keep in mind too, that these are a very real possibility. Since your boyfriend so freely gives himself away to you, chances are he's been with other women before you who may have been infected with one of the many STDs. Your boyfriend may be a carrier, but asymptomatic, meaning he can still give it to you.)
Why is it so necessary for you and your boyfriend to have sex right now? Why not just wait until you're married and ready to have kids. The whole purpose of the sexual act is to produce offspring. Have some respect for yourself, your future husband, and your future children. There's no good reason sex can't wait.
you have to be taking your pills for a full month before you go without another contraceptive and you must take your pill at around the same time everyday. always remember that alcohol and drugs can affect the effectiveness of the pill. this is what i use to do: i use to take the pill everyday at the same time by setting an alarm on my cell phone, my boyfriend and i would not use any condoms until i was ovulating, (which is ususally between the 2nd and 3rd week in your pill pack), at this time we would use condoms or the pull out method, then after that week or so you get your period and your cycle begins again.
