10 points to the first person to give me a decent answer to this question regarding toes?

First of all, stop peeling your toenails.
I have ingrown nails on both big toes on both sides from 20 years of professionally dancing. my only option is to have a doctor go and cut the entire nail as far as it will go and yank it out, or go under the knife and have surgery to permanently destroy the nail bed on this part of my toe. even after both of these possible solutions, the nail could still grow back ingrown.
I no longer have pinky toe nails, all a direct result of dancing and peeling my toes after class or rehearsal. stop while you can, or else you might end up like me. whenever i cut my toenails i have to cut far down over my skin and yank out a nail that is about a quarter of an inch ingrown.
sorry for being gross. but it's the truth.
soak your feet, keep them dry, keep your nails short, and STOP PEELING AND PICKING!
unlikely to come back ingrown
it will return
keep it clean and cover it up with something. No I don't think it will me a ingrown nail.
It may or may not become ingrown. Just leave it alone and see if it does, then you can do something about it. Otherwise, you may want to try stopping such a disgusting habit.
If it doesn't become ingrown, you had better watch for infection which can be bad news. Put some infection ointment on it (like Bacitracin) and leave it alone. Put your shoes on and keep them on until you clean up for bed, then go to bed and leave your toes alone. You're asking for foot troubles. Good luck...
It will defintely grow back. I slammed my nail in a metal door once and it took about a month to grow back. I just hope you dont force your boyfriend to lick those things.lol
Cut the toe off.
it will grow back. just don't touch it.
ya know this is nutty but i do this when i am bored soooooooi keep sox on my feet mostly when i go to bed or i pick them too and ouch i have also done the same silly thing many times `~it realllllly hurts so put some antibiotic cream on it it will grow back and if your not really paying attention a few months from now u will probably do it again ~~~~~~~darn
No it should not come back ingrown. My dad has the same problem. Not a big deal.
First off, break that habit. Nails are there for a reason...to protect the tips of your toes and fingers.
The nail will grow back, assuming you leave it alone. It will probably take a month or so to grow back completely. Once it does, cut properly by cutting straight across the nail.
If it becomes ingrown, you'll know. I doubt that will happen though. Leave your nails alone!!
EMT
no it will not, just keep it clean so it does not become infected and give it time to grow back.
Most likely it will not become ingrown, if it grows back, and you haven't damaged the nail bed it will be OK. Keep it clean and dry and apply an antibiotic cream to it regularly. If you do feel like it is becoming ingrown, before you have to much pain, try to sooth it with a warm/hot soak, then, if you can, place a teeny tiny piece of cotton under the edge of the nail. DO NOT leave it in for long, and make sure you change it often. There are ointments you can get over the counter that can numb it while you are waiting for the nail to grow out. It would be better to see a Doctor, in case you become infected. Watch and wait. Don't let it get red or swollen. Leave it alone ! put a band aid on it, keep your hands clean when you have to touch it. Staff infections can get into your bloodstream and become dangerous. If you can, put the band aid on it and then wear socks. Careful not to bump it.
Nail peeling or biting is a very hard habit to break, but do your very best !
