Athletic Foot?
Question:
Answers:
Athlete's foot or athletes foot or tinea is certainly contageous and you can pick it up from public showers at swimming pools and by other contact. In your case you probably did not even pick up the disease and the alcohol treatment probably removed any traces that you may perhaps have picked up. I think that you can sleep well without any worries.
I don't think alcohol kills fingus (which is what athletes foot is). Washing the affected area normally with soap and water would be ideal ,aswell as using an athletes foot medication (a cream such as Lamisil, or a fungal spray). Athletes foot or not, you should always keep your feet clean and dry.
However, if you don't see any signs of the athletes foot fungus in a few days, I wouldn't worry...you may not have gotten it. But if you get it, keep your feet clean and dry, and use a fungual medication for as long as the medication instructs you to. It should clear up.
