Are carpel-tunnel and arthritis the same thing?
Question:
Answers:
carpel-tunnel syndrome is more like a pins and needles type feeling and a stiffness in the joints, arthritis is inflammation of the joints and is very very painful, your joints will stiffen and be really sore to move, your GP should be able to tell if you have either of these.
hope this helps
THIS IS DEFINITELY A SIGN OF CARPEL TUNNEL. ARTHRITIS AND CARPEL TUNNEL ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.CARPEL TUNNEL IS A PINCHED NERVE INSIDE A SMALL CANAL THAT RUNS UP THE INNER SIDE OF YOUR ARM , DOWN THE WRIST INTO THE PALM OF YOUR HAND. THIS CAUSES PAIN THAT CAN RADIATE UP TO THE SHOULDER, WRIST PAIN , AND THE TINGLING PINS AND NEEDLES , LIKE YOUR HAND IS ASLEEP, BUT USALLY IN YOUR LAST 3 FINGERS (PINKY, RING AND MIDDLE FINGER) AND THAT SIDE OF YOUR HAND. ARTHRITIS IS AN INFLAMMATION OF THE JOINTS.YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO A NEUROLOGIST. BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO BE REFEREED TO THEM BY YOUR REGULAR MEDICAL DOCTOR.
yes
Your symptoms do sound like carpal tunnel. The kind of doctor to see in regards to this is an orthopedic surgeon. If it is carpal tunnel, I highly recommend the surgery. It hurts like the dickens the first week or so after surgery, and your hand is pretty much there for decoration for a few weeks until it heals, but when it does, you'll feel like you have a whole new arm again! It's a blessed relief once it's fixed!! Good luck!
Carpal tunnel and arthritis are two different things your symptoms don't sound like either of them I struggle with carpal tunnel in both of my hands and am currently preparing formy surgeries. Carpal tunnel effects your hand and wrist in my right sides case its pain and numbness radiates to my elbowbecause the tunnel in the elbow is inflammed to kinda like bersitis. but none of this cause pain to the shoulder. It seems you have nerve pain and possible damage so you should see a neurologist to havethem take a look at the nerves in that arm. Arthritis is inflamming of the joints and severe pain. That will last longer then the pain and numbness of carpal tunnel.
