Stop biting nail?

Question:
How do I get my husband to stop biting his nails? I already tried the stuff you paint on that tastes foul, but that doens't work, anyone have any really good suggestions?

Answers:
Start by brushing them when in the shower.. use a hand lotion to keep them moist. If he does construction, his hands will remain dry.. Now.. the best thing.. carry nail clippers at all times and clip them. the key is not to put them anywhere near the mouth. Just a bad habit. Probably started as a kid.. Stressful situations.
Suggest dunking his nails in Tabasco sauce. Remind him not to touch his eyes or lips. This worked for me when I was a toddler but unfortunately I grew a taste for hot sauce which I am now in the habit of using on everything I eat.
Show him a piece of **** and tell you would rather him eat that that his nails as it is more hygenic than what lurks underneath his nails. Another possibility...tell him it is more hygenic for him to eat excretion THEREFORE you shall definately be cutting down on the kisses as you don't want germs that are worse than the contents of an animals bowel swirling around your mouth thankyou v. much :o)
Take him to get a manicure, then they'll look so pretty that he won't wont to bite them.
Use MAVALA STOP! this is a bitter liquid, put some on his nail when he is asleep, as soon as he starts his habit, he will taste a reall terrible flavour that he will never forgot, the bitter taste stays for a day. Do it some days and it will make him to give up that habit. Trust me!!!!!
