ACL Reconstruction?

Question:
I am 32 yrs. my right knee ACL tear 3 months. Initially I decided to go for non-operative treatment.
Right now I don't have major problem in my knee. but some time I face instability and If i stretch my leg suddenly I feel like some thing abstractive and little pain.

my second problem is due to acl tear on right knee I started putting more load on my left knee. So right now I am getting some pain on my left knee also. I am just worried both the knee now. So I am planning go for surgery. Please let me know whether really I need a surgery OR I can continue non-operative treatment. only I am thinking about complication after surgery.

Answers:
I tore my ACL & had surgery when I was 16. I'm now 25. This has been the best decision I could have ever made. I had surgery only 2 weeks after my tear. Those 2 wks were terrible. All I could do was walk normally in a straight line. If I tried to jog, run, walk fast, or turn fast my knee would kind of let loose, like there was nothing inside of it holding my two bones together. And it hurt like HELL. There was no question for me to have surgery. I am really athletic & love to play all sports. There was no way at 16 (or any age) that I would accept walking the rest of my life the most physical activity that I could stand. I have been able to do EVERYTHING that I ever did before. I play tennis, softball, basketball, jogging just like before. The only problem I have is a little arthritis. When I sit with it bent for too long it aches, but nothing bad. I just stretch it out & it goes away. I never take pain pills for it. It never keeps me up at night. The only bad thing is the arthritis & of course, the SCAR. I was on crutches for 2 weeks, but it mentally took me a long time to do vigorous activity. Looking back I could have, but I was scared that I wasn't ready. Take it easy & you'll feel better. This is my personal story. Good luck with yours!
The price of knee surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the Fly2india4health Consultants .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this Fly2india4health Consultants.

Fly2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
