I had a mole lasered off my nose today, and the derm told me to wear a band-aid with ointment for two days, that the bandage would help it heal faster. I really don't mind wearing it since I don't have anywhere to go, but is this true, really?

The legend was that a cut would heal faster if left in the open air. But, tests done proved that they actually healed faster if sealed off from the air. The bandage will keep the ointment on the area so it will absorb more and better so follow the doctor's orders.
