I tore my ACL and I had to have 2 surgeories.?

Question:
After the 2 surgeries my knee still really hurts. is this normal?

Answers:
It is not your ACL that causes pain, but secondary conditions that are the result of the initial injury and post-op factors. Chances are you have osteoarthritis that has developed due to the trauma that caused your ACL to tear. Also you may be subject to excessive scar tissue as the side effect of surgery. Some people are prone to keloid scarring.
yes it is. the acl is one of the major ligaments in the knee joint that keeps the knee together and in motion so after tearing it its normal that it takes long to heal
It's typical for quite a bit of pain to happen after surgery, and once you get partially through physical therapy it's starts to get a lot better, how long has it been since surgery, have you started Physical Therapy? Good luck!
