i would have a doctor look at it..
Too much of strain, load and pressure over the muscles may result in theis type of vein projections. These are called vericose veins. Consult a good doctor. For tips on vericose veins please visit the site below.
Here is what my medical book says on varicose veins. "A common condition characterized by one or more tortuous, abnormally dilated or varicose veins, usually in the legs or the lower trunk, occurring between the ages of 30 - 60. Causes include congenitally defective valves, thrombophlebitis, (clots in the veins), pregnancy and obesity. Especially common in women. Elevation of the legs and use of elastic stockings are frequently sufficient therapy for uncomplicated cases. In the more severe cases, surgery is needed. It is called vein ligation.and stripping. Symptoms include pain and muscle cramps with a feeling of fullness and heaviness in the legs. Dilation of superficial veins is often evident before the condition produces discomfort. Elevate the affected limb periodically or wear elastic stockings," (the kind the hospitals give you). I hope this helps. I don't think you should wait to see an MD if you experience any of the condition I gave you. There is also an injection the doctor can give to alleviate the problem, but it may not be a permanent cure. Best advice, See a MD
