Elbow Bubble? Blood, water?

Question:
I was playing hockey today and after the game when I was getting undressed I looked down at my elbow and theres a massive "bubble" on it. It doesn't hurt yet I have no idea what it is or how to help it. I'm not sure exactly how I injured it because I block pain out pretty well but I assume it was on some boards check. I'm going to put ice on it but I was wondering if anyone could help tell me any additional information about it.

Answers:
I believe it could be olecranon bursitis that is a bubble of fluid over your boney bit of elbow..
The bag is always there protecting the bone but if you bang it as you most likely did during you game it reacts to protect by filling up with more fluid.Leave alone hopefully it will gradually go down.Occasionally they can become infected -hot,red,throbbing -if it does see your doctor
Sounds like a blood blister. It just means you were hit in a way that ruptured a small blood vessel under the skin. They are most often caused by a severe pinch rather than a blow. Using ice packs will help but wrap the ice in a towel so it isn't in direct contact with your skin as it can damage the skin. Use the ice pack for 10-20 minutes at a time. Generally, the blood will be reabsorbed into your body as it heals. If it breaks open be sure and keep it clean to prevent infection or check with your doctor.
